The ability to improve one's performance with experience is one of the hallmarks of intelligent behavior. We are exploring a wide variety of machine learning techniques and issues in the context of the Softbots Project. Of particular interest are learning by being told, learning from experiments, discovering regularities in the external world, inventing new terms, automatically formulating learning problems, and more.
