Welcome to the CSE Safety Web. The purpose of Departmental Heath & Safety (HASP), and Emergency Evacuation & Operation (EEOP) Plans is to establish procedures and duties, to promote planning, and to establish training for the staff & students in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for fire and other emergency evacuations as required by Article 193 of the Seattle Fire Code, the Washington Administrative Code (WAC 296-24-567), and the UW Emergency Operations Plan. In June of 1994, the University of Washington published its comprehensive EEOP for campus operation during large scale or campus wide emergencies. Copies of the campus EEOP are located at CSE's Reception Desk in AC 101. It is important to point out that the UW EEOP does not cover specific departmental operations, even for those departments assigned emergency response functions. All departments must establish their own emergency operations plan that considers their specific needs and how they will interface with the UW EEOP. This Web Site is for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering's HASP & EEOP. These plans apply to all persons in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, located in offices/labs in the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science and Engineering. If you have a question about CSE's HASP, EEOP, or any information related to the health & safety of your work environment, please contact tracy at cs.washington.edu. Building maintenance and safety issues for the Computer Science & Engineering Department can be reported to cse-maintenance at cs.washington.edu. |
