Double Major Exceptions
CSE encourages students with multiple interests to consider double majoring. To help double majors manage their multiple sets of requirements, this page contains approved exceptions to standard CSE degree requirements and suggestions for some of the most common second majors chosen by CSE students. Check the CS/CE Degree Requirements to see if the degree requirements from your other major can count toward CSE electives.
- These exceptions are approved only for double majors, except as noted. Exceptions to standard CSE degree requirements are made on an individual basis for students not double majoring.
- These exceptions are designed to help students avoid redundant courses. Double majors must still complete the vast majority of CSE requirements.
- Other departments offer similar exceptions; therefore, you should check with both departments for the most accurate recommendation.
If you have questions about a major or a course not listed here, contact the undergrad advisors.
