The main image comes from the film "300". This is the scene where Loenidas kicks the messenger into the pit. The picture of the ships is from the movie "Troy".

Mask(s) made with iScissor.
I needed to mask out the falling man and the two faces in the bottom. I made separate mask for each and then combined them into this composite mask. The individual masks were made with smart scissors and then composited in Photoshop. There needed to be a mask for the ships to simulate the curve of the well. This was done by creating a circular mask in Photoshop.

Final Image.

Here is the final product. It looks like Leonidas is kicking the messenger into a pool filled with ships. The three men that were masked occlude the water and the water appears to follow the curvature of the pit.
To arrive at my final image I did the following steps in Photoshop:

Step 1: I imported all of the images and used them on different layers.

Step 2: I masked out the ships with the circular mask and placed it over the whole.

Step 3: I used the mask of the men to again mask the ships so that the men would occlude the water.

Step 4: I painted in some shadows onto the water.

Step 5: I adjusted the Hue/Saturation of the ships to make them fit the palette of the image better.
