A 10-minute video commissioned by the Technology Alliance that makes the case for investments that aid the growth of Washington State's technology sector.
The Technology Alliance was formed in 1996 as a result of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce's 1995 Leadership Conference, which focused on the need to nurture the technology-based businesses in Washington State. Now a statewide consortium of technology-based businesses, their trade associations, the state's leading research institutions and other cooperating organizations, the Technology Alliance works to strengthen the technology sector in Washington State. The Technology Alliance is guided by a 31 member board and supported by the efforts of its council. Alliance programs bring together interested people from a variety of sectors to learn more about the role of technology-based business in a healthy and growing Washington State economy. The Technology Alliance is chaired by William H. Gates and its executive director is Susannah Malarkey.
The video was prepared for the first annual "State of Technology" luncheon, held on June 1, 1998.
The transparencies used by Mr. Gates in his presentation are available here.
