Click on the blue icon labeled getOUT in the bottom right corner
Easy Task: Find an event. You are with a group of friends, and you’re trying to find something to do. Find a free event, and save it so you can refer to it later if desired.
Click on the Cost widget in the upper-right corner
After the widget chooses to see only Free events, choose one of these events
Click on Bookmark
You're not worried about sharing, so simply click cancel! That's it!
Medium Task: Publish an event. You are at the UW HUB setting up for a public screening of the movie Se7en, starting tonight at 8:30pm. You want to publish this event to getOUT so users of this application will be aware of it.
Click on the Add Event Tab on the bottom menu
Click the Name textbox to enter the event name
Click the Where I am! button to use the iPhone's GPS position as the location
Click the Category dropdown list to select the category of this event
Click the Today button to set the date of this event
Click the Choose... button to select the Time for this event
Click the Cost dropdown list to select the cost of this event
Click the Add Event button
Check the box by "Post this event as my status"
Check the box by "Post this event to my facebook wall"
Click OK. Great job!
Hard Task: Coordinate with friends. You just got up Saturday morning, and your day is free. You want to set your status on getOUT to indicate that you are available. You then want to see what your friends are up to. If none of your friends are currently planning on doing anything, find an event going on today, and share that event by setting it as your status and posting it on your Facebook wall.
Click on the Friends Tab on the bottom menu
Set your status to Available by clicking on the drop down menu under "My Status"
Click on the Find Events Tab on the bottom menu
Choose Event 1 to go to the Event Details Page
Click on the Share button
Check the box by "Post this event as my status"
Check the box by "Post this event to my facebook wall"
