Asking Questions & Getting Help

It is very important to us that you succeed in CSE 369! Outside of lectures and labs, there are several ways to ask questions or discuss course issues:

  1. Visit labs and support hours! See the Weekly Calendar for current availability, noting that these will all be run in a hybrid fashion (in-person AND virtual).
  2. Make a public post about course content on the , where they benefit the whole class. This also allows other students to answer your question so can receive a faster response. This is the best way of asking questions about class-related topics.
  3. Make a private post to just the course staff on the with any issues you would prefer to discuss privately or questions that involve solutions or partial solutions for ongoing assignments.
  4. Request a 1-on-1 using . If you feel like you need extra time, can't make it to support hours, or want to discuss something privately, please feel free to request a 1-on-1 from the staff!
  5. Send to the course staff. The instructor will try to address the issue and share it with others only as appropriate, but will not have a way to reply to you without addressing the whole class.

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH?
I grew up in Lakewood, which is just a bit south of Tacoma. I went to regular schools and in high school I did running start. This is my second and sadly last year at UW!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES, TALENTS, AND SKILLS?
I love staying active. For me this involves going to the gym and playing sports. Some of my favorite are soccer, volleyball, and tennis. I also started bouldering last quarter and I fell in love with it! Another hobby I have is baking. My favorite food to bake is probably either cinnamon rolls or croissants.

HAVE YOU DONE OR EXPERIENCED ANYTHING REMARKABLE OR MEMORABLE?
My most memorable experiences have been while working with children. I used to referee youth soccer games and reffing the U6-U8 games were always the most enjoyable. As well as spending time with my little cousins.

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH?
- I grew up in the suburbs of Tacoma, Washington. So, I'd say that I'm pretty familiar with the state. My path in college was to become a computer engineer with a focus on digital design, which was one of the many reasons why I applied to be a TA for this course.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES, TALENTS, AND SKILLS?
- Some of my hobbies include playing video games, watching anime, and listening to video essays and documentaries in my free time.

HAVE YOU DONE OR EXPERIENCED ANYTHING REMARKABLE OR MEMORABLE?
- I'd say that I'm quite proud of the CPU design I made in CSE469 (which I highly recommend taking) and was satisfied to see it work.

WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS QUARTER?
- I'm going part time this quarter, so I got two STEM classes along with being a TA for this class this quarter.

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH?
- I was born in Georgia, but I spent most of my childhood in South Korea (Korean's actually my first language). My family moved back to the states when I was 13 and I lived in Auburn, Washington until I came to UW. I didn't know what I wanted to study when I was applying to colleges, and I only applied to engineering at UW because I knew it was capacity constrained. I actually ended up really liking electrical engineering and I'm glad I tried it out!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES, TALENTS, AND SKILLS?
- I like going to the gym, baking, crocheting, and playing piano or violin in my free time. I also love doing 3d wooden puzzles. Here is the link to the most recent one I made over the break: link

HAVE YOU DONE OR EXPERIENCED ANYTHING REMARKABLE OR MEMORABLE?
- I have been lucky to be able to go the Society of Women Egnineers conference in Houston and LA the last two years. I would highly recommend looking into scholarships that our school offers as I have made many valuable connections at the conference that led me to new opportunities.

WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS QUARTER?
- I'm only taking 7 credits and will be graduing in Winter, so I definitely have a lighter academic load this quarter. I work as an undergraduate research assistant at the Washington Nanofabrication Facility on campus, and I'm also a co-fundraising chair for Music for Charity -- we're a group of students who love music and we put various concerts together to raise money for charities in the region. Contact me if you're interested in joining as a perofrmer or would like to come to our performances throughout the school year!
