This is the home page for prospective students who are interested in joining us at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. Ours is a Ph.D. program with an integrated master's degree earned along the way to the doctorate. All applications to our program are reviewed with interest in an applicant's potential or demonstrated ability to conduct computer science research and to complete a Ph.D. Please review the principal research areas currently being carried out by our faculty and graduate students. On-line application opens around August 1 of each year. Deadline to apply for admission each autumn quarter is December 15 for both U.S. and international applications. There is only one admission per year. All applications materials must be received by this date. Please ignore the November 1 deadline stated elsewhere by the Graduate School.
