Toyota Research Institute (TRI)

Multiple Allen School researchers are part of a growing network of TRI University Research Partnerships (URP) that advances fundamental research alongside real-world application in AI, robotics, driving, and more. For an example of our partnership in action, see the UW News story on our project evaluating the impact of dashboard touch screens on driver attention and safety.

FOCI

The UW Center for the Future of Cloud Infrastructure (FOCI) aims to foster a tight partnership between practitioners and researchers to define the next generation of cloud infrastructure through collaborations between academia and industry. For an example of our partnership in action, see Everpure’s blog post on our collaboration to advance cloud efficiency research.

We are excited to embark on this research journey with the University of Washington. Collaboration with FOCI provides an opportunity to rethink storage system design for power-constrained, high-density environments.
